“ Went to BJ’s Bayou last night after my wife’s graduation in Rexburg. IT WAS AMAZING. ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES I’VE TRIED IN GENERAL! They were super accommodating of our group of about 20! We got to say Hi to Evangeline the Alligator. The atmosphere captures you right when you walk in. They are accommodating, kind, and cares about your time there. This was HANDS DOWN the BEST Cajun food I’ve had! & I’ve spent time all over the south! When they say blackened, they know what it means. BEST BREAD PUDDING I’ve had as well. Get it extra saucy! The Chicken (Poulle) Mamou was incred, Hushpuppies were killer, Red Beans & Rice, Anything Blackened amazing! Sorry we didn’t get the photos earlier, we couldn’t stop eating. I finished the blackened chicken and the person next to me finished the blackened salmon before we could get a photo. All in all: 10/10, there was not a single aspect we didn’t enjoy. Will be going again the next time we’re in Eastern Idaho. ”

“ This place is located in its own place. I love the atmosphere and the live gators! The food is really good and had the feel of being in a whole other place. I loved the laid back feeling and the way the owners took care of us. A little bit of a price, but it was worth the trip. We got invited to watch them feed the little caiman gator. ”
“ Went again to BJ’s Bayou and were once again more than happy with our meal. We got the mixed appetizer with fried okra, green beans, onion rings, and pickles. That could almost have been our dinner but we went in wanting seafood, so we ordered the shrimp piquant and blackened catfish. We both got the shrimp gumbo which was delicious, as usual, and then our meals came. Those were great as well. We brought a good bit of the meals home and will have leftovers tonight. The coup d’ gras was dessert, though. Being from the south, I love pecan (that’s pronounced p con, not pea can!) pie. Since Cherilyn’s desserts have all been great, I had to try it. It was probably the best pecan pie I have ever eaten: most pecan pies are so sweet they are almost hard to eat. Not this one, though. It was not nearly as sweet as I am used to and was a real treat. I will definitely be getting more! ”

“ Husband and i went and we got definitely what we asked for and more i swear. Seasoning on my seafood boils are amazing. I go for the boils my husband got a chared steak and loved it. He almost wanted to get another if he was going to actually finish it but he doesnt like to waste food. They loved my son he kept saying hi everytime the waitress wohld walk by or anyone come in the door he would say hi so i thought they would get irritated but nope everytime a smile from them that made me happy ”
